Matoma & Becky Hill "False Alarm

We had the pleasure of producing the music video for Matoma's hit song with Becky Hill, False Alarm. Check out what Promonews had to say about the clip and some stills from production below:

'The X-Men-esque storyline uses fire as a very literal visual here lifted straight from the lyrics of the chorus. It's implemented with great effect - for the first half of the video you've no real idea that anything out of the ordinary is taking place. It's a gorgeous looking video, full of magic hour shots in the desert, and fairground fun.

It all feels like familiar territory until we sit down in what looks like an interrogation room with a doctor, and that's when the fire starts.

I'm a big fan of a bait-and-switch narrative and Samy Mosher implements it here brilliantly.'

Vans Introspect

STADIUM friend and filmmaker, Chad Huff, invited Eric Maldin to shoot an episode of his series called Introspect up in Whistler Blackcomb with professional snowboarder Leanne Pelosi.

The episode, airing soon on Off the Wall TV profiles Pelosi’s career as one of the most prolific female backcountry snowboarders. Taking 100+ pounds of camera gear into the backcountry wasn’t the easiest of endeavors, however how fun do these pics make the trip look?

Big thanks to Chad for having us out, and keep an eye out for the episode.

Red Bull Streetstyle | BRAZIL

We were fortunate to be asked by our close friends at Sweatpants Media to facilitate the production of media for the Red Bull Streetstyle World Championships in Salvador, Brazil. With twelve deliveries in six days, we lived and breathed all things freestyle soccer.

It was definitely an intense production. But, looking back at it, we wouldn’t of had it any other way.
Check out the Red Bull Mediahouse YouTube channel for the full series of work.

WE <3 CHERUB

Check out the broken-hearted revenge story Chris Buongiorno just helmed for indie-electro band, Cherub.

Working with a modest budget, he used a RED Dragon paired with Zeiss Super Speeds and shot the ambitious clip over one day in the Lancaster desert. Shooting at various frame rates and in reverse, Buongiorno showcases his signature off-beat style in crafting the track’s unusual narrative.

Sweatpants Media asked STADIUM director Eric Maldin to take part in a lifestyle project featuring Social Distortion’s lead singer Mike Ness for the apparel brand Red Kap. We followed Ness from the studio to his boxing gym, and up the coast in his vintage Ford. The final piece explored Ness’ early childhood influences, and stresses the importance of heritage and craftsmanship. Everything Mike Ness does, he puts his heart and soul into, a sentiment we can relate to.

Launching Oskar Blues

Oskar Blues is a Colorado based company whose innovations in craft-canned beer, make it one of the most successful micro-breweries in the world.  MVMNT Strategy asked STADIUM to help take their concept for launching their newest product, Old Chubb Nitro, to life.

The concept was quite simple…film the fabrication of a Nitrogen powered cannon which would then be used to shoot beers at an array of targets.
Check out the fun clip in all it’s metal soundtracked, 200mph, 320fps, glory below:

STADIUM director, Samy Mosher, has been spending the past few days in Alaska helming a new campaign for Verizon Wireless.

With the help of Harpoon Pictures, we pulled this project together from script to delivery in less than 3 weeks time. We had an awesome crew and great support all the way through, and can’t wait to share the final product.

Citrine Swim 2015

Up and coming swim brand Citrine Swim asked STADIUM director, Eric Maldin to take part in shooting the 2015 photo and video campaign. Rather than flying out to a tropical beach destination, we decided to shoot the picturesque mountain landscape of beautiful Colorado. Working alongside Valerie Wetmore, from Wilhelmina Denver was an absolute pleasure.

Stay Flexible

We’re always excited when Guess calls with a new project idea. It’s even more appealing when a vintage muscle car, the LA skyline, and Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Samantha Hoopes are thrown into the mix.

Our window of shooting was small, and although the concept was quite simple, the execution of each shot was key. The end product was seen in various digital formats including being shown in every New York and Las Vegas taxi.

Stray bullet

We must have faces that scream "ASK US, WE DEFINITELY KNOW HOW TO MAKE THAT" because we get some fun requests from time to time.  This week we built a bullet-time rig out of GoPros for Director Mike Rosenthal and Equinox Gym. We never thought jumping rope could look so good.

There is no them, only us

We spent the past month working with the amazing folks at Anonymous Content on a Mark Romanek helmed Super Bowl commercial with the legendary rock band, U2.

The band has announced that their new single will be released for free in conjunction with the spot, with all of the proceeds from the download benefitting the (RED) foundation.

Every time the track is downloaded, anywhere in the world, a $1 donation will be made to (RED) by Bank of America - up to a total of $2m. All the funds will go to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria

Read more about the project here and keep your eyes peeled as STADIUM's involvement in the project has led to some very exciting news that we can't wait to share with you.

Play with us

STADIUM was commissioned by BBH LA to collaborate on the visual research phase of Google Play's new commercial "Play Your Heart Out." Tasked with generating material related to the human heart, STADIUM pulled hours worth of iconic and clever content from all things pop culture for the Johnny Green helmed spot.

The footage was then culled through and effected by The Mill LA and combined with the live-action production portion of the spot by editor, Jono Griffith.

All over is here

Late last year STADIUM teamed with Ryan Purcell and Olivers founder, David Wolfe, to compose a film that uncovered the process of Olivers' debut collection. STADIUMʼs goal was to give people a glimpse into the brand's beginnings, and to inspire a community of people to come together in support of something better.

The San Francisco-based startup, which has designed high-quality athletic shorts for men, completed a $271,043 fundraising campaign on Kickstarter on September 13th. Its original goal was $10,000.

The brand has finally launched its full line on their website, and we couldn't be prouder to be involved with helping bring the brand to fruition. Congrats boys.
